干嘛？gànmá?
J'avais déjà entendu l'expression "干嘛？gànmá＂lors d'un séjour à Taïwan, et l'ai compris comme une expression bien orale, un raccourci pour remplacer "做什麼 zuò shénme？qu'est-ce que tu fais?", avec 干 gàn "faire" et 嘛 má "quoi" dans ce cas là.
C'est lors d'une discussion avec un conducteur de Taxi à Tianjin que j'ai appris une nouvelle façon d'utiliser le 嘛 ma en question.
干嘛？gànmá?
I had already heard about the "干嘛？gànmá＂during a trip to Taiwan, and understood it as a very oral expression to replace "做什麼 zuò shénme？what are you doing?", with 干 gàn "to do" et 嘛 má "what" in this case.
During a conversation with a taxi driver in Tianjin, I would discover another use of this 嘛.
干嘛？
我在台灣曾經聽過這句"干嘛"詞語，當時開始懂它的意思，能代替“做什麽？”，也有一點“爲什麽這樣做？”的意思。
這一次，一位天津的出租車司機教了我“嘛”的另外一個用法。
Weima, c'est quoi ça ?
Je montais dans ce taxi à Tianjin, indiquai ma destination en chinois, puis comme d'habitude:
- Oh vous avez un accent, vous venez d'où?
- De France.
- Vous faites quoi en Chine?
- Je travaille ici.
- Vous êtes venue en Chine pour votre mère ?
- Euh...ben non ma mère est en France.
- Mais non, jveux dire, vous êtes venue en Chine pour votre mère ? "你为妈来中国？/你為媽來中國？＂
- ...＂
Comme il voyait que je comprenais rien, il a reformulé sa question:
- Pour quelle raison est-ce que vous êtes venue en Chine?
Alors tout est devenu clair, cela m'a rappelé cette fameuse expression 干嘛： en fait le conducteur me disait ＂为嘛/為嘛＂="为什么/爲什麽＂=Pourquoi, qui se prononce "wèimà" ici à Tianjin, et qui je pense est une expression bien locale, car lorsque les gens disent qu'ils viennent de Tianjin, souvent les amis vont ressortir les expressions typiques qu'ils connaissent de là-bas, la plus connue étant 干嘛？干嘛？干嘛？Gànmà?Gànmà?Gànmà?(Mais ici le ma est en 4e ton).
Bref, petit malentendu qui arrive quand on pratique pas assez le chinois oral comme moi haha (surtout le chinois de Tianjin, mais quand on y habite pas ce n'est pas forcément utile, me direz-vous).
Weima, what is this ?
I was getting in this taxi in Tianjin, and told the driver my destination in Chinese. Then as usual (in Chinese):
- Oh you have an accent, where do you come from?
- I am from France.
- What do you do in China?
- I am working here.
- Did you come here for your mother?
- Eeeeh...no my mother is in France.
- No that is not what I wanted to say, did you come here for your mother "你为妈来中国？/你為媽來中國？＂
- ...＂
As he felt that I did not understand his question, he asked it in another way:
- For which reasons did you come to China ?
Then, everything was clear, this reminded me of the 干嘛： indeed, the driver was asking＂为嘛＂="为什么＂=Why, which pronunciation is "wèimà" in Tianjin, I think this is a very local expression, like when one says he/she is from Tianjin, the friends around would often tease with the local expressions they know from terr, of which the most famous is 干嘛？Gànmà? (Mais ici le ma est en 4e ton).
In brief, this is the kind of misunderstanding you could get when you do not practice oral Chinese enough as me. I reckon here it is more useful if you live in Tianjin, which is not my case
为嘛/為嘛
去了天津出差，做了出租車，告訴了司機我想去的地方，然後，跟平時坐出租車一樣的話題：
- 你說話帶著口音，怎麼回事？你是從哪裡來的？
- 我是從發過來的。
- 你在中國幹嘛？
- 我在中國工作。
- 你為媽來中國？
- 不是啊，我媽媽在法國啊！
- 不是這個意思，你為媽來中國？
- ...
因為他看到我什麽都沒懂，他就用別的方法再問:
- 你爲了什麽理由來中國？
啊喲！原來如此！什麽都變得清楚啦，也想到了“幹嘛”詞語。我終於懂啦：他就是問我“為嘛？”，不是問我是否為我的媽媽來中國哈哈哈！但是這裡的“嘛”是用第四聲來說，所以我一開始沒明白，後來再想起有時候有人說是從天津來的，很多人就會馬上說他們會的當地詞語，最有名就是用著第四聲說“幹嘛、幹嘛、幹嘛？”。
總結著說，想我這樣沒有好好練習說中文的人會嘗嘗遇到這種比較搞笑的誤會，尤其是天津話，但是我也不是在天津住的，所以沒有太大關係。
